Halfway between Caen and Ouistreham, the Brasserie "Les Trois Planeurs" faces the Bénouville Bridge, a strategic point of the June 1944 Liberation. Along the Caen Canal, a vast sunny terrace welcomes the local people, British, Europeans or Americans for a break on the route of the historic sites of the Landing.
From March 1st to the end of October, enjoy the animation created by the bridge opening, the crossing of the boats in transit between Caen and Blainville on the canal and sportsmen riding bicycles or roller-skating which take the totally renovated towpath. Behind the restaurant a car park welcomes the vehicles of the individual visitors and the coaches for the groups.
The Brasserie is opened from 9:30 am in the morning until the last customer has left sometimes late in the evening. The service adapts itself to the customers' schedules in a room with a D-Day decor.
You can discover a mini-museum with collector's items such as a bagpipe, English military equipment from the period, historical pictures..
